All of the yellow leaves fell off the poplars over the weekend.
The leaves are still clinging to the elm trees. About 8 years ago, we bought some elms propagated from Dutch Elm Blight resistant stock, because we had one elm growing through a stone wall here, and I liked it. So far, they're doing well.
And we have sunshine for the little boys from Colorado. They're roaming around with Thor; he's happy that we brought him more friends!

Pretty pics! We still have some leaves clinging too...
I just now saw some red and brown leaves! So do you like your fridges yet?
I must say it looks downright Septemberish where you live....I need to send you some of this snow.
All the leaves are brown (and mostly on the ground) and the skies are grey...
Your property is so beautiful!
Our last elm tree was badly damaged in the ice storm four years ago and had to be taken down for safety sake. This year we noticed that it's starting to grow back up from the roots.
I have never seen an elm. I gather they were all killed off here in the UK sometime ago with disease. Your pictures are beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving.Diane
Love the trees. You have such nice surroundings. Great for Thor and his poepole, and little visitors :o)
