Sunday afternoon, I glanced out my kitchen window to see bright sunshine on the tree trunks, and a black, stormy sky.
When I got outside, I discovered that the sky to the northeast was still bright blue, while due north there must have been some massive storms about.
Within 10 minutes of taking these pictures, all sun was gone, the sky was pitch black, and rain poured down. The temperature dropped 15 degrees in 15 minutes - most impressive!
Happy Garden Wednesday, everyone; I hope your thunderstorms are entertaining for you!

Weather can change so quickly but a 15 degree drop is quite a lot. We are praying for some rain here but so far not too much is happening! Keep well Diane
It is fascinating to watch the sky change. Today is a gorgeous sunny day, but tomorrow may bring much needed rain. I jope it 's gentle rain.
What awesome pictures. They are almost eerie but beautiful.
Nature can provide some terrific photo ops
I wish you had an aerial shot of your property... it is so stunning!
It always spooks me when it does that!
Ah the weather. It's always entertaining. We had some beautiful Spring days, giving us hope the winter was gone, then bam, back to winter. We are well and truly sick of the cold that's for sure. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
We were watching the skies on Saturday in much the same manner! Luckily, we got the race in before it opened up!
What great photos. A weather intersection, right there in your yard!
I love that middle photo!!! You were at the exact right place at the exact right time!
