Garden Tuesday: Hydrangea
For Pam, who asked what my new hydrangea looks like after the planting crew left. (It's been so wet outside that I don't want to venture far, anyway. Every day the weather idiots promise sunshine "tomorrow". My feet are waterlogged.)
Our spring is kind of "intermittent", one week very dry and the next drenching. Right now we have have gently, persistantly drenching.
I hope Eldest Daughter returns for pruning time, and tidy-ups if she wants it to remain a "standard shape".
Otherwise just let it be - and you will still be a heaps better gardener than Mickle (I really need to clamber up the bank and remove the dead flower heads from the last 3 years from my poor plant)
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Michelle (you know where Zebby is, awake or asleep!)
Our promised sunshine is supposed to start today (and last for a week). Um yeah, it's a we'll believe it when we see it kinda thing ! Hope your feet dry up too. :-)
I'm so glad Pam asked, because that is so pretty! I'm still surrounded by way too much heat to enjoy the weather. hoping for a seriously cooler break soon!

Beautiful. I think I'd like to come sit and read right there, in a big wicker chair with a thick cushion and a lap blanket...
You can send your rain to us. We need some. No colorful leaves this year. They're all brown and crispy.
