So, we set out last night to light the traditional fireworks. The sky had just a touch of color left. Can you see it in this picture? Here's a lightened view, just in case. I love the profiles of the trees at night.
And the little guy started us off with Roman Candles, with some help from Dan. Thor stayed inside where it was safe from the booming noises.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Sadly the first picture is just black on my screen here at work...
very fun - I miss the "at home" fire works - we used to light them in New Mexico..
I'm sure Thor felt the same way about the fireworks as my kitty cats did.
Beautiful sunset photo!! Smart Thor...
Fireworks her illegal in California, so we sat on our front lawn and watched 5 different "professional" displays. Great fun! OOOOOOOO, AAAAAHHHHHH!!

looks like everyone had a good time! I agree the trees look great at dusk.
I was at a major fireworks extravaganza on Friday, but the kids were mostly thrilled by the sparklers they could hold in their hand.
Sensible Thor, and his caring people.
Zebby sez this is very good practice for when the lightening boomies hit RIGHT ABOVE you,
and Zebby hopes your folks have a big space cleared that is just like Zebby's wardrobe/closet - on your ground floor where you can be as safe as Zebby is in the closet behind his big bottles of water for emergencies becoz it gives good sound insulation too. (Yes - plenty of Zebby food here too in case of earthquake etc........)
There was an earthquake felt by Mickle here on Tuesday - only Zebby's reaction was zilch!!! I Guess I just need worry about Zebby during thundery weather, bless my feline rescue lad!
nice ....looks like good fun!

I hope you had a good 4th!
My favorite time of the day, Marjie. Most any day that is except, like Thor, I'm not thrilled with fireworks.
Hope everyone was safe and had tons of fun.
Thanks for sharing...
