This rhododendron might be 80 years old. I've struggled to keep it 6 feet high or less.

The flowers are always so pretty for a couple of weeks!

Beautiful! That's what I miss most about my childhood homes... the old gardens. Sigh.
We are trying, not too successfully, to grow a rhododendron or two. I love them.
They are so pretty... we have one on the side of the house that's intertwined with a lilac bush and some weeds... we really need to fix that!

Your Roddy bushes are beautiful. Not all of mine have bloomed yet.
we have those in the same colour, in bloom now as well. the white ones have deflowered, so have the light purple ones too almost - but the bright pink are now in glorious bloom! wonderful with some colour in the garden.
Sob. Ours are all going to the project house today... yes all 8 of them! Phooey.

I like your rhododendrons. They don't grow in our state, apparently, but I do remember having a pinker version of them when I lived in NJ.
