Although today is the first day in over a week that the temperature has even hit 30, much of our snow has disappeared. That's because it's been bright and sunny since last Thursday.
Trust me, bright and sunny doesn't make me feel better about the fact that our temperatures are about 25 degrees lower than average. You can tell by the considerable snow still on my daughter's car that it hasn't been warm.
And Larry was talking yesterday about pruning his shrubs around his yard. We hired someone to "prune" some poplars around our yard. With a chain saw. I believe Larry was pretty specific about that not qualifying as pruning. Oh, well.
This one must have been around 60 feet tall. Mr. Chain Saw is delighted with the wood he's taking home from my yard. He'll use the wood for heat next winter, and sell the chip from the smaller branches. And I'm happy that he cleans up everything around himself! Believe me, he's already taken down 8 trees, and I have about 6 more that need to go.
Hope everyone else's spring is warmer than mine!

Wow and I thought our weather was pathetic, at least we are up to the low 50's! p.s. I have never made cream of chicken soup, that looks delish and it is one of my favorites!
Thank goodness the Knight wasn't here to read over my shoulder and get all excited about tree removal again. I'm still sad about what came down last year.
Thanks for linking up! I can't imagine still looking at snow, and here I am complaining because it's in the 50's.
LOL - When it's a big tree, chainsaw pruning is acceptable. :-)
I'll bet you're beyond ready for the snow to be gone
Do you live in a national park, or is all of Pennsylvania that beautiful? Cold, but beautiful!
Our guys scale the trees and use a matchete. It's a treat to watch.
It's cold and rainy here but it isn't snowing.
That cream of chicken soup down below is SCREAMING my name.
We may be a tiny bit warmer, but we are so much wetter here! I am tired of the rain, if we have much more and the ground gets softer, some of those tall trees in my back yard will just fall over! Take care, soon that snow will be gone.
Marjie I've got 20 plus patterns out too. Saw someone post one the other day that I didn't have and I got mad at myself for not having it. Needless to say, I do have it now though. I AM SUCH A PATTERN HOGG!
Spring's coming Marjie, it's coming !
We're at the same temps as you are - hovering just around 0°C and watching the snow piles sloooowly melt away. Mostly, the piles are just on the shady sides of the street. Still cold enough that your chicken soup sounds delicious :-)
We just got a cold front!
Super chilly isn't nice, especially when your nation has already moved to daylight saving. Go away snow showers! Marjie, Thor and Co need sunshine that actually delivers warmth - way beyond a minor snow melt or two.
Zebby and Mickle are prepared for our daylight saving time finishing on this coming Sunday - I've got out my PJs and Zebby is busy moulting into a winter's kitty-cat fur. Then we will snuggle up together.
xxx and zzzzzzzz from Mickle and Zeb
Would you believe I just got an email weather update indicating 6 - 12 inches of snow for us tomorrow into Friday? UGH.
I think you're living on the North Pole. Still snow?
The spring will come though. Definitely. I know it.
Lots of love
Mischka
We've had another week of winter here. Last week we were teased by a little bit of warmth!
