Christmas Tree Skirt

In 2000, when my girls were 13, 11 and 10, we all made quarters for a Christmas tree skirt.  Of course, that was one of the things burned in the fire.  So last year for Christmas, the three girls got together and made new quarters for a Christmas tree skirt, leaving me with a piece of white fabric from which to make my quarter.  I finally finished it 3AM Friday night, and put it together today.  It took 4 hours, and I was cranky, I'm not gonna lie.  But it's finished, and it's beautiful!

And now, I need to finish wrapping the 11 million (OK, that might be an exaggeration) presents that remain sitting in a corner, and get the boys to set up the tree, and decorate it, and plan for the Christmas week, including meals (because the first kids start arriving Monday), and clean the house, and....I forget what.  But at least the driveway got plowed around 5 today.

Happy weekending, everyone!

I love your new tree skirt. Did each of you embroider a section? I've wanted to make one for years and that might be a good January project. I do have a pretty one we bought a few years ago but the dogs like to sleep on it under the tree.
