So, it's the beginning of our last long weekend of the summer. Boo Hoo! Where did the time go?
Just a couple of random photos for you: a close-up of the blue spruce our oldest son gave my dearly beloved for Christmas about 10 years ago. It gives new meaning to the term "Blue Spruce".
And a stone from our patio. We're redoing it, having taken down a tree that's growing into our sewer line and wreaking havoc on the foyer roof. This stone's been in place for probably 85 years. That's the great thing about stone: it doesn't wear out.
We'll be home, with the kids coming and going during the weekend. Lots of food is doubtless in store, after we get Ryan outfitted for school next week, that is! Hope you all have a great 3 day weekend!

Fun photos... taken with the new camera? :) Have a wonderful long weekend!
Beautiful spruce. We had one in the yard of my childhood home...
I thought of you this week... a couple in Manhattan have 2 huge mastiffs and have to factor them in when they get a new place... it was in the NYTs
Have a great weekend
Have a great weekend!! I am totally looking forward to it!
Have a good weekend - no holiday here :-) Diane
Hi Marjie, enjoy all the family coming and going. We know you will. No worries, and love, Carol (and Stella and Rory)
I hope you're having a great weekend. Blue spruces are one of my favorite trees.
Hope you're having a great weekend ! The weather here is supposed to be about perfect 24-25°C and sunny. My line was full of clothes all day. Bedding tomorrow to take advantage of the weather. Other than that I spent the day watching movies with hubby and knitting. My to-do list hasn't shrunk much, but it was a good day :-)
Have a great weekend

The blue spruce is an incredible colour. I hope you are having a great weekend and that the repaving doesn't make too much mess.
Zebby is very busy just now, topping up his tummy!
PS - we are still in the long haul through winter and spring. Our last long weekend was at the beginning of June (Queen's birthday celebration, even though she was born on April!)) and there is not another until our own Labour Day in late October.
Have a great labor day weekend. Sure, summer is over, but autumn is a great time of year too, right? Plus apples are abundantly in season for lots of pies and crisps and whatnot.

I love blue spruce - they are so pretty! Happy three day weekend.
I had a turtle sandbox just like that!
I loved your pie book. :)
I saw someone reviewed my Amazon book a mother of nine--that wouldn't have been you, would it? :)
