Thor
Thor has had a lot of cysts breaking open lately - 3 in the last 6 weeks. Most worrisome, he had several under his tail, one of which was looking pretty bad.
So, today he went in for surgery to remove all of them. We just got the call from the vet that they're all removed, he came out of the anesthesia just fine, and can come home tomorrow. I don't know that Thor counted on camping away from home, but they love him at this veterinary clinic.
I just wanted you all to know that our boy had a little problem, but everything's on the mend now.

OH poor poor Thor! Glad all went well... I'm sure he will be well treated but he will be so happy to be back home with you tomorrow.
All the best to Thor :))
Poor guy......give him a hug!
Thanks for the post. I know how worrisome anesthesia is with giant dogs in general, but a senior giant dog, even worse. Sounds like Thor came through with his usual dignity. Guess he will have some shaved spots.
Give him super smoochies from me and the gang.
Mango Momma
Oh - I've been camping and my heart stopped for a minute when I saw that. I'm so glad that the big guy is doing well. g
Poor guy! I'm glad he's getting what he needs.

I'm so glad Thor is doing well. Good Boy :-)
As soon as I saw that picture in my side-bar, I knew something was up.
Oh thank goodness that gentle giant is doing better. Give him lots of hugs and slobbers for us, Marjie...
Thank you so much for letting us know...hugs to you and your family too:)
Margi you must miss him as much as he misses you. Glad he will soon be home. Anesthetic is not nice when you you are getting a little long in the tooth! Take care Thor. Diane
Good to hear he's doing well. I always think it's cute when dogs lay with their front legs crossed.
Ironically, Sissy and I thought of Thor and his cysts yesterday. We met a delightful bull terrier named Riley at the vet, and he was there with a ruptured cyst on his leg...
Just rest and heal big guy. You'll be home before you know it.
So Glad Thor is OK, my girl Bella says hi!
poor thor! glad all went well. I LOVE big dogs, he looks so lovable!!

ps. i have a giveaway going on right now, come enter!!
We're glad that Thor is cyst free and will be feeling better soon. Mom gets upset about those cyst things and likes to get them taken care of. Give him a pat from each of us. That's ten in all.
Morgan, Tsar ad the Porties
Sending big hugs Thor's way!
