Soon, they'll be all over the driveway and patio. We're in the downhill slide toward the end of summer.

Gretchen and I have an on-going "leave it" battle on our walks now for the very same reason.
Why is everyone reminding me that summer is almost over, and in the South they are all telling me Spring is here. I don't want to know, I hate winter!! Diane
I grew up with a crabapple tree in our yard - our dog loved to play fetch with the crabapples.
Do you make anything with them?
