Yak Herding?
My daughter got home from college on Thursday, and brought me belated Mother's Day presents: flowers and tea.
It was hard to take a good picture of the flowers.
Oh, and the tea? It is a Zen blend, recommended for invigoration before a session of "Pilates, Yoga or Yak herding."
Me? Yak herding?
Not in this lifetime.
But she is a great kid.

:o)) I guess it is the thought that counts!
I just tried one of your recipes for the first time - had to get the measurment transfer from cups, tsp,", F etc right first.. Blondies with walnuts will be served later this afternoon !
Tea with Yak butter- ummmm....
Difficult to take a photo maybe, but you were not forgotten which is the main thing. You are a lucky Mum. Diane
Where do they come up with these things! I mean the 'tea' packager! As if!
Mmm ... I love Tazo teas! Personally, I think that tea is best savored with one's feet elevated while one's backside rests in a comfy chair. The flowers looks beautiful, and I bet their fragrance is lovely. Glad your girl is home.
Yak herding? Well, that's a new one on me, and I'll be sure to look for that tea when I'm in the mood to herd some yaks!
(just as an 'aside'... I'm not fully awake yet, and I thought for a minute that you were speaking German or something. Ya Kherding!)
With all the kids, you've probably done your fair share of equivalent yak herding many times. ;-) Just trying to get my 3 dogs to come back into the house all at once is like herding CATS - and adding my human kids? Oy vey! ;-)
I bet Thor would do some yoga with you!
With a sweet daughter home I expect there is plenty of yakking just now. And I'm sure dear Thor is well used to herding his humans to where The Red Protector and his Darling Human Mama think they should be, with adjustments added for Thor's own concerns and comfort.
Huggles and snuggles from Michelle and Zebby, very cosy and warm in their late Fall.
I was wondering what on earth that title would reveal...
FINALLY made friends with shy Sophie yesterday, but not enough so as to get photos. She's lanky and lean, but so gentle, so sweet. We got home very late last night and animal planet happened to have a show on about English Mastiffs. I think the Knight is reconsidering his house pony breed of choice, and YOU already know that if he says Mastiff I'd agree to one NOW!
How sweet:) I've returned in time for Yak Herding! I'll be right there:)
Nice that she remembered even if she sees you as an idigenous person moving a herd around. ;) Well, now that I think of it, you ARE a mother so we really do qualify! And isn't "yakking" what we heard constantly while they were growing up? Better have a cup of tea NOW! :)
A very great kid!
It is good to know ya got options!
Oh I can totally picture you yak herding.......... and save the hair for Chan to spin up into some yummy yarn!
