Wordless Wednesday: Old Tech
Sometimes, the old technology is just fun.
And sometimes, kids don't "get" things like erase-tape.
I still use an electric typewriter in our office - I can type an envelope quicker than change the settings in Word to print an envelope ! Biggest problem is finding where to buy the ribbon and corrector tape each time I run out!
One of my first jobs was writing for an aviation mag, and I had a Selectric. When the writers sent their copy to the typing room, we'd have added all kinds of circles and arrows around words, sentences, paragraphs, even pages, telling the typist how to reorder it all. I don't know how they figured it out, but they did.
Giggle... The Knight was watching one of his pawn "reality" TV shows earlier this week and recognized my word processor. Hem. It's in the attic... it's not as though I have it on my desk...
I love the click clack of old typewriters. I was just telling my son yesterday that I learned to type on one and he couldn't believe it. Boy, did that make me feel old.
Howdy Marjie, jeez I remember using one of these in the office I worked at. The golf ball typewriter, I thought it was just fabulous (especially after using a manual for years!!). Showing my age again hehe. No worries, and love, Carol (and Stella and Rory)

I've always wanted a typewriter!
