Happy Halloween!

There isn't a lot of Halloween color in my back yard, but some of the maples have obliged us with a splendid display of red!

Mostly, though, we have green, which is odd, given that usually all of the leaves are gone by November 1.  I'd say they'll miss their self-imposed deadline this year.

And I"m ready for the trick-or-treaters who never show up!  Do you think the boys had ulterior motives when they went candy shopping?

Happy Halloween, everyone!

We have learned to buy only candy that we like, that way when we don't get many kids, we are still very happy!

Our road suddenly exploded in muted colors ... today. Figures; here comes the rain, so I took one photo on our walk before Chloe the psycho JRT that gives them all a bad name distracted my walking partners.

Happy Halloween, Marjie! I too have a whole bowl of candy, all Reese's. Do you think Marion had an ulterior motive, lol...

I was just reading an article that said if the leaves fall off the trees late in the season to expect a very cold winter. I sure hope they're wrong.

Tonight we have lots of wind and plenty of rain. I bet you do too, maybe even more.

Thanks for sharing, Marjie...Did I see Nestle Crunches in that bowl???

We didn't have many trick or treaters either. Our old house used to get a ton but our new neighborhood - not so much.

Love the photos of your yard.

In 14 years we've not yet managed to figure when we'll get kids. On a rainy night this year, expecting none at all, we had about 40 kids - the most we've had so far LOL I try to buy what I don't like, makes it easier to bring to work the next day :-)

We had lots of red this year, but our neighbourhood trees are about bare now, windstorm last night took care of whatever was left.

Halloween does not seem to happen in this country hamlet. Maybe the bigger places do something about it. Have a good weekend Diane

I'll bet that candy's history now.
