FNSI

On Debbie Cook's blog, I read a bout the Friday Night Sew In. She's mentioned this before: plan your project, link up here, settle the household, relax and sew something. Then post a picture on Saturday sometime.
I think I'll try this. I'm going to make a summer dress from the black & white Calvin Klein voile I just got from Fabric Mart (bottom of the right hand pile), and maybe a jacket to go with it - we're headed to cooler weather, after all. Then we'll see if I'm inspired for something else. The recipient of the yellow dress 2 weeks ago told me that if anything else just "falls out" of my sewing machine and lands in a box destined for Colorado, she'd be happy to have it.

I have some sewing I need to get finished and I keep putting it off. Maybe I'll join you in the FNSI and knowing you're sitting at your machine might make it easier to get thru it. See you tonight at the sewing machine.

I should totally do this. But Friday nights are you usually dinner you - you know because being home is such hard work! Actually I'm working today, but that's another story for another day.

I do HAVE to make a ring bearer pillow for a wedding next weekend. And I'd love to have a new dress to wear to the second wedding the same day. UGH. g

I wish I could sew without having to bring everything from upstairs then having to return it each day I finish. One day upstairs I hope will be in working mode and then I can sew to my hearts delight!! Diane

I can't wait to see how that voile sews up. I have a big piece of it as well. I'm glad Thor's biopsies were negative! Good news!!

Quite cool here... I'm digging out jeans (if they fit) and a sweater for dinner!

Fabulous news about Thor ! You don't really stop worrying til you get the results.

I totally intended to join in this FNSA but, as usual, life took over and I completely forgot about it LOL. Looking forward to seeing the voile made up.
