Thor wants you all to know that Independence Day is greatly overrated.
There's a lot of booming, and you have to spend a lot of time near the Great Red Protector.
It's hot, too.
Did I mention the noise? Thor wants silent fireworks instituted at once. Who cares if stupid humans like the loud booming. Pam's kitty cats and most doggies agree. Thor will be sending his petition around to all of you for paw printing.
Happy Thorsday, everyone!

Our dogs go crazy from the fireworks.
You're the cutest pooch Thor!
The babies hate it too.
send it on over - my dogs will sign it too! Hope you are feeling better Thor. g
ps - for the record - this human thinks the big bangs and booms are overrated too!
Zebby so agrees with Thor.
As does Zebby's human - If the Boomies were silent I would head up the demon steps along to the "expensive real estate" part of the street to watch the huge big fireworks display over the harbour each November 5th.
Electric storms with super bright flashes and huge boomies that shake a bloke's home are bad enough (I keep a Zebby-sized floor space clear in my wardrobe/closet just in case I'm not home at the time)
Hooray for and to the Great Red Protector and Darling Marjie!!!
Dear Thor, it is so good to know you are so well protected and loved,
Care and huggles to you and your Special Protector and Super-Mama Marjie,
Michelle and Zebby, snuggles and purrrumbles,
you can have some of our sub-Antartic chilly temperatures too, any time
I could not agree more Thor. Soundless fireworks really are the answer. Too many animals suffer from the noise and why should they? It is all man made, storms are a different matter. Will my paw print count? Diane
We're with you Big Guy.

Oh Thor....I think Minky and Bodie would agree with you. Especially Minky who spent her 4th glued to our legs. Bodie took it more in stride. I don't think now that she'll grow up to be half mastiff though there's NOTHING wrong with that! The only thing we worried about was that we would then have to install a pet door big enough for the neighbors to crawl through!
Love you, Thor! Give your mama a big cozy "lean" from me. :)
This human would like silent fireworks, too. We have lots of paws to put on your petition.
Aw, Thor, the booms are annoying, but I did get to stay inside where it was cool. You poor guy out in the hotness. Not the greatest holiday for you.
Slobbers,
Mango
Gretchen wants to help with the petition! Sissy will sign, just because she finds Gretchen's yapping at the boom-booms more annoying than the booms...
MaggieMae agrees with Thor! She hates to too!
We'll put paw prints on that petition for you Thor !
We don't really mind the noise 'cos when we were babies, big booms meant big playtime with Mommy. Now, we mostly just ignore it but agree, it would be better if it was quieter.

Even a Norsk god needs a protector. Glad Big Red was around.
Awww.... Poor Thor! Charli doesn't like the fireworks either. It has been really hot for july here too. We love you Thor. Pretty soon it will be all over.
Poor Thor - I don't blame you. My cats don't love it either.
I know. Animals really HATE fireworks. I've never had one that didn't.
Poor baby.
They shot them Fri, Sat. and Sunday...dog hates thunder and fireworks!
Awww! Poor Thor! We once had a Great Dane that ATE his way through the double-thickness garage door, just to get into the house! He hated the booming too, so you're not alone, sweet boy!
(though Galahad did love to eat the charcoal snakes if no one was looking!)
Oh no - Thor - you poor thing - you don't look like you're enjoying yourself at all! :-(
I don't actually mind fireworks and loud noises but I know they upset a lot of doggies and kitties and my humans agree that they are stupid things - she thinks they should just hold big public displays for people to enjoy but now allow people to do them in their own gardens coz every year that are accidents and some human pups or pets get hurt!
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
Lola wants Thor to remember that it *is* her birthday though... so there should be cake involved! :)
My 33 year old horse totally agrees with Thor! It took him 2.5 days to recover from this year's "bombardment."
Next year you can visit by me Thor, it was so quiet for the holiday I thought I slept through it!!!
