.....of strawberries, of course!
I was drooling over Pam's strawberries a couple of days ago, and envious of Paula's kids going picking strawberries (and eating them all). Then, today, in the food section of our local paper, what should appear but an article about a local strawberry field? What to do? Of Course! The girls are often whining that they're bored, and the little boys may be bored also, so send them! And Jeffrey, too, for good measure! With five giant baskets!Well, I got 50 pounds of strawberries. Yep, 50 pounds. Don't drool on your monitor, now. I'm off to eat myself silly.....tonight's dinner may be cancelled due to lack of interest.....

Holy mackerel! You really DID get your money's worth!
I don't think I'm allowed to go berry picking anymore. Apparently being caught sitting at the kitchen table at 1AM in a fake 'berry coma', with a red ring around my mouth and red-stained fingertips, makes me less attractive to my fiance. Go figure.
Holy Cow!!! Oh. My. Gosh! Fifty pounds! Now that's what I call "pickin"! I keep switching back to the photo to look at your red bounty, and each time I start laughing. Did your jaw drop wide open when they came home? I showed my husband and his first comment was, "So when are we going over there?" And here I was thinking that perhaps I should send my kids over to make a dent in your bounty, seems like hubby man is ready for round 2!
Man oh man! Tell your kids that they do impressive work! That's hard bending over picking those things!
Rachelle, I crashed about 1AM, after the fruit energy left me.
Paula, we'll hold dinner late tomorrow. Bring hubby for strawberries! Well, that's probably too far a commute, isn't it? Oh, well...
Oh My Gosh!!! Still, though with your big bunch, sounds about right!
Got your msg regarding the bear ... perhaps he was looking for all his strawberries!!! Hmmm ... now where could all those berries be???
20 Quarts In My Freezer!
Looks at all of those strawberries!
