Garden Tuesday: Outside My Window

Yes, last week you were right. It was a live deer nearly licking my window. Really, this terrace is only 15 feet wide. What is this joker doing between my kitchen and my garage anyway?

I was not amused. After I took the photo, I banged on the window until the fool sashayed away.

Brazen! She doesn't seem to care a hoot that you're staring her down, does she?! She must be related to the idiot deer here who thinks nothing of stomping around on my front porch!

What is with you two? Deer staring you down? Stomping on the front porch? Silly talk.

That young lady is quite pretty and she looks like she'd be more than happy to come in for a minute, get warm and maybe play a rollicking game of chase with Thor through the living room. g

Maybe she just wanted to play with Thor and didn't know how to ask ;)

That's as close as I've had one come!

This is a sight I'm used to....but Grumpy would have MY hide if I scared her away. ;-) This year we had 3 different bucks hanging out in our yard too. Of course, our yard is the big great wild - where the only house that exists is ours....so I guess it's ok.

I think that's pretty neat! On the 24th- it might be a reindeer!

Until we put the fence up they used to come look in our windows, too. Now they only occasionally jump the fence.

A deer on your doorstep - how cool. Is it a friend of Thor's?
