I'm pretty sure my lawn is a Chem-Green man's dream: Oh, to have to turn this into pretty grass, and charge these people out the wazoo for 10 acres of perfect grass!
Or, we could just accept the clover and move on. It's green, it uses different nutrients than the grass does (so never needs fertilizing), and it's actually good for some trees, again, for the nutrients.
How's your lawn looking? It's pouring here today, so the grass is growing!
Happy Tuesday, everyone.

My lawn has some clover in there too. I wish it was raining... I am ready for fall weather!
We like clover and weeds here. They grow in poor soil and dry conditions when the grass dies off.
I had a Southern Living lawn for a few years and loved it then the reality of living beside a woods and a weed filled cow pasture began to set in. I fought it a few years but it was too much time, money and chemicals so now I just mow whatever grows which is becoming that pesky bermuda.
We like clover and like you... we're not treating 7 acres.
At this point, I'd settle for anything that isn't brown.
I think clover looks great... we don't do much to our lawn...
Some buddy needs to look for the 4 leaf kind

That is my kind of lawn. Unfortunately we live next door to someone who has their lawn treated regularly and it looks like a showcase lawn!
Us too. Hubby fought it for a few years. I think he's given up. :-)
embrace the clover! think of all the four-leafers in there. :)
I'm taking the "green is good" approach to lawn care this year. My only (very minor) complaint is that different green things grow at different rates, so after a week or so, the lawn has odd tufts of stuff. Still, better than all those chemicals.

Looks like you have been taking a photo of our lawn!! Keep well Diane
