Drive By Good Friday

Quick post for Good Friday. Last night's spring cake: yellow cake, chocolate frosting, flower sprinkles.

Big kid pancake party: Cass making pancakes.

Dan took over.

I'll be making Hot Cross Buns tomorrow. Of course, roast leg of lamb is Saturday night's Easter dinner, followed by the traditional Easter Basket Hunt on Sunday before everyone has to hit the road. Then, there's only a month until the last 2 girls graduate from college! I'm so excited for them!

And, some freebies for you Kindle users:

My friend Pam in Chattanooga reviewed a book called Night Swim a little while back. The author is now offering free Kindle downloads to Pam's readers, and I'm passing the opportunity on to you. Here's the link!

One more thing: A free bread cookbook I found online yesterday. Good for Kindle again. I'll be trying some of these recipes for you, and reviewing them as time permits.

Happy Easter, Everyone!

I really envy you your family get togethers at times like this. We will be celebrating quietly just the two of us. We are going to a wine fair today, but of course one has to stay sober! The French are very hot on drink and drive. Diane

Thank you grown-up kids for the inspiration - I had pancakes with banana for brunch. I just popped the sliced banana half into the pan after I'd cooked the pancakes (I also froze half the cooked pancakes for another Mickle brunch on another day).

Sending care and the best wishes ever to Cass and Kellie as they prepare for their finals,

Michelle xxxx (Zeb is heat-bathing in front of the heater)

I really enjoy your posts that include your grown children. I love that they all come home and hang out and seem to enjoy each other so much! Coming from a big family myself, I love spending time with my siblings now. It is the best gift that my mom ever gave to us.
