We have several dogwood trees in our yard, but this one is closest to my back door. I never took note of dogwoods before we lived in Tennessee, and it always seems odd to me that they bloom so much later here than there. Then again, we do have a pink one that blooms in April, so maybe it's just this subspecies.
Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Oh, they're full and BEAUTIFUL!!
I think they are beautiful - but man do they make me sneeze! Enjoy. g
good sized tree!
I have never seen a dogwood, or I don't think so. I love flowering trees though and this looks lovely. Diane
Looks like a pretty tree and full of blooms even though it appears in full leaf - perhaps a Kousa Dogwood. We are big dogwood fans and have several around the yard - some we planted but most were here naturally - especially along the edge of the woods.
Wow - it's beautiful! Our dogwood looks pretty sad compared to yours.
That dogwood is gorgeous! It puts all my scrawny ones to shame!
That's a dogwood? Wow! It's beautiful. I didn't realize that you were in TN (or I forgot). I house sat in TN for 5 months last year. Where are you?

Such a generous tree, giving layer upon layer of branches smothered with leaves and flowers.
I think is well worth waiting through your winter to enjoy such a beautiful tree - and the pink one yet to flower?.
I've been debating as to whether I should plant a Dogwood as the new house is bare to landscape.
I know now, I should consider it more seriously. Your tree looks grand!!!
Thanks for sharing, Marjie...
