Garden Tuesday: Apple Time

My apple trees are laden with fruit, and it's ripening nicely.

The deer will doubtless eat most of the apples.  And that would be OK, if they left after dining, and didn't destroy everything else on the property.

Brutus got to play apple with Dan a couple of days, because early ripening apples had fallen, and Dan kicked them for Baby Brutus to chase.  It was joyous.

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

I'm glad BB got to play with apples. Hope Dan is bearing up; there's nothing easy about this.

Your apple trees look so healthy

I hope this doesn't discourage you from getting another puppy. Puppies are love, even when they leave us sooner than we'd like.

My girls love apples, so I'm curious as to what they'd do with apples as "toys"...

Deer are destructive beasts. I'm not a happy deer "neighbor" right now.

I bet it was joyous. I grew up with two apple trees and our old black lab loved chasing and eating them.

Howdy Marjie, our neighbours have apple trees that line our fence and we are welcome to take as many as we like. The dogs love them. Hope you are all ok, especially Dan. Hope you can picture a pup in your future because we think that's what Thor and Baby Brutus would want.
No worries, and love, Carol (and Stella and Rory)

pesky apple-loving deer. if they weren't so darned graceful and adorable, i'd say we should do away with the whole lot of 'em. :)
