Saturday was my baby's 12th birthday. When did he get to be so old? And why do my boys insist on trying to make me look short? OK, so I am kinda short. Still and all....
With no power outage, the cake got baked, the presents (which had previously arrived by the magic of dudes in brown outfits) got wrapped, and then unwrapped. And, of course, candles needed blowing out.
The favorite present was a Nerf axe, which Dan proceeded to vigorously try out on Ryan. It works without any harm. Dan heartily recommends this to boys big and small. Ryan says the jury's still out on it.
This was our first birthday without Thor, so it was strange. Still, it was a good night, and a fine end to a freak snowstorm.

I bet Thor was missed. I am happy your youngest had a great birthday!
Your sons do seem to come from a different gene pool than you did, but tall is good.
Happy Birthday to your son :)
Wow, he's grown a lot in the 13 months since we saw you! Happy birthday to your not so little little guy.
We miss Thor too. Such a gentle giant...
Happy Birthday Little Guy. Our youngest was a little guy too and is now 6 ft 4 inches at 15 years old. Hope the cake was yummers. No worries, and love, Carol (and Stella and Rory)
Ha ha.....your little guy is bigger than you!! Happy Birthday to him.

Happy Birthday from the whole pack. It looks like a fun party. Was it all male except for you?
Sounds like you had a great time. I'm sure Thor was missed though.
Were all of the books on the end of the table presents?! If so, I can relate. My oldest son has already made a list of books for Christmas.
Congratulations on your son's birthday
We also miss Thor ...
