Thor's News

I'm sure some of you remember when Thor's boy Jeffrey graduated from West Virginia University in May. We were very proud.

We were especially proud that he wore actual pants, unlike this guy here.

He spent the summer hunting for a job elsewhere, but came back in August to take a job selling Medicare Supplemental Insurance. Jeff hated it. And what Jeff hates, Thor hates. So, Jeff quit that job, and has a temporary job through Manpower, while trying to find a real job (anyone have any leads?).

In the spirit of Jeffrey and jobs, Thor has decided to seek a job, too. So, since Jeffrey had success with Manpower, Thor is looking at the Dogpower Agency.

Available: One large, old dog. Excellent at sleeping and sharing lunches. Very Loyal. Well educated, for a dog.

Thor hopes for a temporary job, to see if this is the right move for him. More updates as the friendly folks at Dogpower lead the search.

Good luck Thor, you look splendid in a tie, who wouldn't hire such a handsome dog!

Bobo and Meja are trying out as 'baby' testers. Perhaps Thor could join them as it looks as though he does indeed love his baby.

Then maybe Thor's sartorial splendor will rub off. They both went on the interview naked!!!

LOL it! Tell Thor I would hire him any day, if he can get rid of the stupid cat that is coming thru our doggie doors and marking my furniture!!!!

What's his new toy? And congrats on the graduation! He could be a nanny!

Thor looks good in a tie, but I still think kiddie sled dog for the winter and maybe wagon pulling in the summer. I feel for your son trying to find a job in this economy.

So cute! By the way, the reno is going well! Thanks for asking. Hardwood floors being installed as I write and the cabinets can follow immediately. I have no idea why I have been so lucky! I think they (the macho men in ranch country) feel sorry for a little woman doing a reno! Whatever works, eh!

I really like your business attire. I would think a lot of places would love a well rounded canine individual such as Thor.

Why does Thor need a job? Are refusing to buy more kibble again? g

Jobs are obscenely hard to find right now! Good luck to both Jeff and Thor!

No one has ever looked so dapper in a tie. It seems Thor already has several job offers!

Brilliant.

Well, I think with your son's looks, he should consider acting. Maybe Thor can start a talent agency.

Stay persistent, Jeff. My brother's degree was in health admin and he wanted to work at Eli Lilly but they told him he needed an MBA. It took six years during which he kept sending resumes, interviewing, and working temp jobs in their different dept thus meeting more of their people. He also worked for the state medical assoc, did admin role for a hospital and worked in health insurance for half the state. Eventually, Eli Lilly wanted him enough to create a job to bring him on board. He's been with them almost twenty years, fairly high up now with the company and travels to the east coast and Europe to speak at meetings or set up clinical trials with doctors and hospitals. His experiences he set up while waiting helped prepare him.
