Well, I haven't been able to get to my garden yesterday or today. I'm pretty sure I've moved to Portland or Seattle, and no one told me. So, between thunderstorms, I stepped out my back door to take a picture of the garden.
It would seem that I need to get out there and collect some more lettuce, if the sky stops leaking...I wonder if there's a plumber who can fix that leaking *sigh*
Two years ago, my son Jeff laid this patio for me, using mostly stone I had around here. Wasn't it pretty? Of course, the hibiscus died over the winter, despite the fact that I brought them inside and kept them in my kitchen where they'd stay warm. Stupid tropical plants!
Coming up tomorrow: Chocolate dessert #9!

Your lettuce looks very green and fresh! Bet you will make a tasty salad! Raining is it?
Your lettuce looks terrific! At least it likes the rain. The patio looks terrific; that's a lot of work for a fella to do. The different shading of stones makes it look so much nicer than if it were all one color, and are those cast iron chairs? That would be a lovely place to enjoy a glass of iced tea and read a book ... if it would ever stop raining! :-)
Your garden looks fabulous and just for record - we went 47 days without rain in Seattle. Just sayin' g
Your patio is absolutely beautiful!! What room has the window with the pretty black shutters?
beautiful garden.I like it. Thanks for share. See you on my blog.I hope we can share some information. Cheers..
The lettuce looks magnificent, ideal for feeding a house full of family - see, something good coming out of all the rain.
Still it must be frustrating for Thor and his siblings to be stuck inside so much. And you really should be sitting out on your great looking patio with a nice glass of something and the need for a sun umbrella.
I was able to dry the laundry outside yesterday, hope your rain disappears soon,
Michelle and Zebby

hey... email me ... we'll have to talk WVU. My friend Brenda works there (she goes to all the games with Teri) and I wonder if your kids know her!!!
What a beautiful patio!! We've been tossing around the idea of laying a patio in our (tiny) back yard. Is it very time consuming?
Lettuce looks excellent--be happy that rain is coming!! I've been begging for some rain down here :)
What a bountiful garden, but that patio makes me go ooooooh...
It all looks so lovely!
Hey, if I brought the coffee, could we sit out on the patio for a bit, and just natter to one another? Maybe look through a few cookbooks or something?
I desperately need some adult companionship right about now and that area looks so darn inviting!
I am so envious of your lettuce!!
I'm with Tater, I want to come sit and chat for awhile on that pretty patio.
