Garden Tuesday: The Moon

These were taken last week, a couple of days before the full moon.  I know everyone made a big deal out of the Strawberry Moon on the Summer Solstice, because it won't happen again for another 70 years.  Whatever.  A big moon low in the sky looks great any time, and not just because it won't happen for another 70 years.

(Gawd, I'm getting to be an old crank.)

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

I came in late that evening and thought about going back out to photograph it.....somebody was raving about being able to see Jupiter too but I thought I'd just get fuzzing globes anyway.....and it was COLD that night.....that's my excuse anyway.

Beautiful shots! I was so excited to learn that we could clearly see Mars with the naked eye just to the lower left of the moon a couple weeks ago. I got some photos, but they aren't very clear.

Welcome to the cranky old lady club. Whenever I try to take a picture of the moon, it just looks like a little dot.
