Baby, It's Cold Outside!

This is what 9 degrees and sunny looks like.

No wind, at least for the time being..

Note that Mark has simply given up shoveling, because either the snow drifts back in to the path, it snows again, or, most often, both occur.

Let us hope the -7 overnight is the coldest we'll see for the rest of this season!  Happy Tuesday, everyone!

I wouldn't shovel if I were Mark either, Marjie. My back driveway is about a foot deep and frozen solid!

We're expecting more frigid temperatures tonight. Come on Spring!!!

Brrr. Now I wonder what you're baking.

Hello Marjie,

The icy blue light which accompanies these cold and sunny days is quite remarkable. So beautiful, but unrelenting. You must be yearning for a thaw.

Isn't it ironic that the coldest days always seem to have the bluest sky?

It looks cold but pretty at the same time. For your other readers - it is coldest when it's clear at night as there is no cloud cover to hold the heat in - the earth radiates heat out into space on clear nights.

It looks pretty but these days, sun is NOT a good sign. Those nice sunny days are freakin' cold ! LOL
Doing the C to F conversions, we're getting the same temps. Right now though, we're at norm for this month (-4C/21F). haven't seen temps this high in a while.

Bob can relate to Mark. He hasn't given up but these days, if it doesn't snow or drift after he cleans up, then the plow passes. Poor baby !
