Or, as Mark's History teacher so eloquently said, "Let's celebrate Columbus REdiscovering America!" Because, of course, the Vikings had arrived about 500 years earlier.
Anyway, here's a new way to eat soup:
Mark announced that soup would be better if you had your veggies and meat on a plate, and the broth separately. So I let him try it. He does not recommend it; said the broth tasted like gravy.
Happy Monday, everyone!

LOL. Have a good day Diane
Well, that was an interesting soup eating experiment!
Hi Marjie!
What a confusing day this has been. Some schools are open, some are closed. UPS is delivering, the post office is not. Banks are all closed, I think. It almost makes sense that Mark would want to "slurp" soup outside the bowl. It's a MadHatter kind of day. I'm not sure if Columbus would be celebrating…Can we at least thank him for chocolate, kinda sorta???
You're right, Louise -- why not a soup with nothing in it, given the weirdness of today. Banks are closed but the stock market is open. (And yes about the Vikings, M. Waaaay before Columbus, who in any case thought he was in India.)
Heh. Fun post. Thanks for the smile.
Agree. Since the Vikings and Indians were here first

Funny kid! He has sure grown up way too fast!!!
I know a lot of people don't like their foods to touch on the pate, but soup is usually an exception. Plus it seems really messy.
