There's nothing here in Garden Tuesday which is actually from my garden, but it's pretty cool anyway.
A couple of weeks ago, my delightful friend Miranda, AKA The Blond Duck, asked for my address. Imagine my joy yesterday when Lou the Mailman arrived early, bearing an oversized white envelope. I eagerly cut it open, and found this:
Yes! Baby Brutus, in the garden, playing with a butterfly! Isn't it sweet?
Now, to be fair, Brutus hasn't actually seen butterflies, but he does chase moths across the porch. He might have eaten one or two moths that he caught, but I'm not going to testify to that. We're friends, after all, and I wouldn't want the Moth Mob after our friend Brutus.
And for any of you who wanted to see flowers, how about my daughter's bouquet from her friend's wedding? She left it in water on my kitchen table, and it lasted nearly 2 weeks. Pretty good, right?
Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Oh that Ducky, how very sweet of her. She sure did do an amazing job!
My daughter has two Labs and they love chasing moths, I sometimes think they think they are playing:)
Thank you so much for sharing, Marjie. A bouquet that lasts two weeks is pretty darn good these days...
Your Brutus makes me think of the old Heart song, Dog and Butterfly. You must have loved seeing those beautiful flowers every day for so long.
Great painting! That is one cutie pie!

Great job Duckie! The painting is darling.
What a lovely wedding bouquet!
When I saw the photo in the thumbnail of the linky, I knew it was you! I recognized Brutus!
Oh good! I'm glad you got it! I had taken it last week but my lady wasn't there, and I wanted to make sure it got to you safe and sound (we live in the country and shipping is unreliable.) Yea!!! :) I'm so glad you like it!
What an incredible gift! Will you frame it? And the flowers are lovely. g
Butterfly, ears, eyes, nose, toes --I'm charmed.
What a nice gift and I just love those flowers. Hope you are well Diane
That Miranda is a gifted artist! I love it. And those flowers are stunning!
What a wonderful gift.
The painting is great. Lucky you. And the bouquet is beautiful.
