New Toy

How many of you have one of these?

It's a small cookie scoop, made by OXO. I now have 3: small, medium and large. Linda first suggested that I should get one when I was whining about hating making cookies because it takes so long, and eventually I ordered one.

I made a batch of these Addictive Oatmeal Cookies last night, using my new cookie scoop. It was much easier, with the caveat that I had to keep a cup of water to rinse the scoop every 5 or 6 cookies to keep them from sticking. They are beautiful.

Have you tried these cookies? If not, you should. And if anyone there is even slower than me in getting on the cookie scoop bandwagon, now's the time to order one. Trust me. It made me go from hating making cookies to only being irritated by the process.

Happy President's Day, everyone!

I LOVE LOVE Oxo thingies. I think my favorite is my potato peeler. It doesn't make my hand cramp like my old one did. I have so many of their things including a tea kettle. They must be designed by women.

I just can't bring myself to buy a cookie scoop. Why oh why? I will reconsider if you say so:)

Thanks for sharing, Marjie...

So, are you enjoying the cookie making process more yet ?

I was thinking of you this weekend. We were visiting the boys in Toronto and while shopping I came across metal cookie scoops and bought 2, not sure the sizes, probably equivalent to your 2 smallest. The one I had was plastic and it just about killed my hands to use it.

Must test them out this weekend :-)

Oh, I can't imagine NOT using my scoops to make cookies. I've been using them for so many years, it throws me when I'm baking at a friend or family member's home and I have to use spoons or (heaven forbid) actually roll the cookies with my hands.

Way to go finally ordering one for yourself!!
