St. Patrick's Day

Many thanks for all of your good wishes. I have progressed from feeling like I'd been run over by a truck to feeling like I've been run over by a Kia. Big progress!

Last night, I made corned beef (in the oven), parsleyed new potatoes (coated with butter, pepper and parsley), spinach and broccoli. I was too dumb to take a picture, so you'll have to believe me. And since there's nothing left of the 6 pounds I cooked, there's no
proof in the fridge.

As I mentioned yesterday afternoon, I made a green cake. That's not as complex as it looks. Lacking energy, I used a lovely yellow cake mix and added green food coloring. Mission accomplished. Many hours later I had my daughter frost it for me, then I used colored sugar to sprinkle a shamrock on top of the cake. Not too bad for sugar sprinkled out of a bowl, right?
Ryan did ham it up for the camera, to display the green cake! Here's hoping you all had as much fun on St. Patty's Day.

M's Mom makes a fabulous creme de menthe cake that's very green... and the base is a yellow cake mix I believe. :)
Glad you're feeling better!

Pretty cake - my green cake is a white or yellow cake mix with a package of Jello pistachio pudding mix added. Happy St. Paddy's Day !

That whole dinner sounds delicious. Ours wasn't nearly as tasty.

I'm glad to hear you're starting to feel a bit better.
