MMM Week 2

Sunday, the 6th, making pretzels with my boys. Purple velour A-line dress and jacket, made in January.
Monday, the 7th, tan velour A-line dress and jacket, made last weekend (sewing report, too).
Tuesday, the 8th, with my King Cake. Pink lace dress made in May of 2010. So it was cold outside; it was our 32nd wedding anniversary, and therefore cause for a pretty dress.
Wednesday the 9th. Midnight blue velour Claire Dress, made in January.
Thursday, the 10th. Sunny skies and warmer weather made me wear a white ballet top, copied from a store bought top purchased in 1989, with a green floral skirt made around 1997. Picture taken of "Mom in her natural habitat" by one of the boys. Wonder what's up with the focus?
Friday the 11th. Pale pink velour princess seamed dress made in November/December.
Saturday the 12th. Pink velour skirt with elastic waist and matching bolero jacket, worn with hot pink cami made in the summer of 1009 (I think). More pink. It seems to be a recurring color in my wardrobe. Note to self: wear blue and green next week.
Hope you're all having a nice weekend! Did you remember to Spring Forward? We did, at 10PM last night.

You remind of Harriet Nelson or June Cleaver - mom's in the 50's/60's who made a special effort to dress well even at home. I'm sure hubby appreciated the anniversery outfit. Nice thing about being retired - it doesn't matter whether it's EST or EDT, I get up when I'm ready, eat when I'm hungry, go to bed when I'm sleepy and the man made invention called a clock is pretty well irrelevent.

I love how you dress. The lace anniversary dress was lovely and I still don't believe you are old enough to have been married 32 years! Congratulations. g

That's it. I'm going to buy a sewing machine as soon as I get home, because I'm envious of your wardrobe!
Pretty in Pink... yep, that's you!

Congrats! I love how you dress. Of course if I did that I'd freeze or something worse.

I like the pink velour princess seam photo. You look regal and even have a tea cup on the table. Lovely composition.

Marjie,

If I send you $ for time and materials, will you make me a Princess Aurora dress? Your pink dresses have me seriously jealous.

Redheads are supposed to wear lots of pink, aren't they? As far as I'm concerned, you can never have too much pink.

Happy anniversary!
