Garden Tuesday: Wall Tree

We have a species of tree that grows up our garden wall. I don't know what it is. In a fit of originality a couple of decades ago, I dubbed it "Wall Tree".
Does anyone know what this tree is? The trunk and some branches grow sort of attached to the wall, and most of the branches are perched on top of the wall and even fan out over it. The couple of trunks you see here sustain about 30 feet of branches, which are about 3 feet wide, overhanging the wall on both sides, and forming a little canopy. Here's a closeup of the branches.

Sorry the pictures aren't that good. It's raining here, and I ran out during a lessening of the rain to take these pictures. I'm not that big on getting soaked when it's 36 degrees out. But if anyone knows what this tree is, please tell me!

Whatever it is, it sure looks good, and it does a good job of covering the wall, doesn't it?

Take a cutting with some leaves on it to the plant nursery... they should be able to identify it for you!

Brrrr!!

Does it flower? We've planted Confederate Jasmine all along our fence to try and make a "natural" wall...

Hope the rain lets up soon!

I've always wanted to "train" a tree to do that on the south side of my deck........but heck I can't even train the husband.

I'm clueless as to what it is, however isn't it kind to cover the top of the wall so evenly.

Heater turned on here tonight, so Zeb is happily snoozling on top of our bed (kindly warming up my side!)

Huggles and care to you and that gentle giant, Thor, xxx and purrrrumbling

Not a clue. I'd ask the Knight to look, but he's not home right now, and odds aren't great I'll remember to ask when he is!
