Thor and the Pear

I debated as to whether this was a garden post or a dog post.

The boys found this pear on our pear tree. It's the first one that's been seen in years. I don't know what was special about this year, but there's at least one more down there.

What has this to do with dogs? Here's a closer look. Don't you just know that Thor was itching to take a bite of this? Even if dogs don't eat fruit normally.

Happy Thorsday, everyone!

I don't care how rare that pear is... did Thor at least get a taste?

(I will note that you seem to be a FAR better alpha human than I am. I delight in just seeing my girls happy...)

Better Thor bites that pear than bites his Humans.

Guess Thor doesn't get much to bite on much other than his food, past loved lobsters and Darryl, his much loved huggley Duck.

Super snuggly hugs and cuddles from Michelle and Zebbycat, Downunder.

I would have sliced that puppy up and shared it with my houndies. They all would have had a bit, although Abby would have had a look on her face that said "they like this?" g

dogs don't eat fruit ? hm, Bundy does, all kinds, and he loves to pick apples from under the apple tree and throw them around before he eats them...with great delight..
Thor is so great... just the other day my husband said he wish we had named our Bundy Thor... and just after me telling him about your Thor.

Hmmm, my HoneyDew eats anything I do...now Sampson will sniff it and look at you like you have to beg him to eat it. But Thor's eyes...oh is he tempted!

A friend of mine had a lab that LOVED pears, practically climbed the tree to pick them if none had fallen or he'd already eaten all of them and wanted more.

I call pears the "forgotten fruit"! I love them, but seldom think to buy any...

Looks like Thor is going to get it as soon as your not looking!:) So excited we actually have a pear on one of our trees too...a pomegranite on our tree...now just to keep the critters away...my tomatoes keep getting eaten!

Are you starting school soon? We start in a week!

Hmmm, mine eat fruit and raw veggies, too. You name it, they like it, except bananaa, & of course, they don't get the onions Skippy will even eat lettuce !

These days, it's blueberry season, one for Mommy, one for Alex, one for Skippy - you know they can count, right?

He wants it so bad! My father's old black lab used to eat the green apples that fell off of our tree, he loved them.
