Garden Tuesday: Guess What?

You guessed it.  Snow.  In plentitude.

One of my favorite blue spruce trees in the back yard.  The house in the background is over 1000 feet away, and we can't see it in the summertime.

Mark shoveled a crazy maze path out the front door.  This is taken through a window: No, I did not open a window after 10" of snow fell and it was 12 degrees!
This is how deep the snow was last week, after the first snowfall.  We've had two smaller snows since then.
And, of course, the trees in the front yard.  These are the ones right at the top of the staircase in the picture 2 up from here (Mark's Maze).
Happy snowy Garden Tuesday, everyone!  Stay warm!

Ours comes tomorrow. We've had flurries, but no accumulation. That will change tomorrow.

As you know, I have a St Bernard. Snow = heaven in St Bernard world. For us, the car is still stuck in the snow with more on the way. It's frozen solid. It's been a mad winter but at least my dog is happy. I must say, her mad desire to eat snow is a little bizarre. she can't get enough of it.

Oh, I praise Mark for his creativity and intestinal fortitude. I won't crow about our temps, seeing as we're in a drought, and that's nothing to brag about. But I was on a conference call with some Chicago folks today, and apparently they're in the -5 degree territory, which makes PA practically balmy.

Wow! Marjie you got a heck of a lot more snow than we did!

I love Mark's maze. It's amazing the way people have been getting so creative with snow this year. I've seen some really "cool" things on the news:)

Hoping this one misses us, fingers crossed:) Thanks for sharing, Marjie...

I'm so sick of cold weather.

Mark got quite a workout shoveling that path! We had a few inches of snow and some freezing rain last weekend and our city literally shut down. They aren't used to getting snow here so they don't have the equipment to deal with it. The kids loved having no school!

he sure got his exercise on the maze. Not many things prettier than a nice evergreen with snow laden branches.

The maze reminds me of Dexter's comfort paths and I confess that when I couldn't get out for walks, I did enjoy wandering the paths, so I guess they are good for all.

Some great melting this weekend, right? One more snow storm this week. Hang in there.
