We're going to try the raised beds next year--have already been plotting what part of the lawn we want to use!

I love your hydrangea--the flowers on them are usually blue down here. Whenever I hear that word, I always think of the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" where Mary hides in the hydrangea bush! Your garden looks terrific. Be glad my youngest isn't there to swipe all those peas; that girl eats them raw right off the plant. I'd say your first sq. ft. garden was a big success. I'm toying with planting a winter carrot crop (they did great last year even when covered in snow ... they just grow slower), plus some herbs. I figure if the carrots die and the herbs flop ... well, I'm not really losing anything and at least I tried! :-)Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11421838192857136356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8561388898364757356.post-68547115813653085682009-09-15T11:24:29.175-04:002009-09-15T11:24:29.175-04:00The hydrangea look beautiful - I love the new colo...The hydrangea look beautiful - I love the new color.
