Garden Tuesday: Hydrangea

For Pam, who asked what my new hydrangea looks like after the planting crew left.

(It's been so wet outside that I don't want to venture far, anyway. Every day the weather idiots promise sunshine "tomorrow". My feet are waterlogged.)

It's been raining non stop here too - UGH! I hope it dries up before moving day.

The hydrangea looks beautiful.

Love the flowers - and your courtyard. g

Our spring is kind of "intermittent", one week very dry and the next drenching. Right now we have have gently, persistantly drenching.

I hope Eldest Daughter returns for pruning time, and tidy-ups if she wants it to remain a "standard shape".

Otherwise just let it be - and you will still be a heaps better gardener than Mickle (I really need to clamber up the bank and remove the dead flower heads from the last 3 years from my poor plant)

I'm so glad Pam asked, because that is so pretty! I'm still surrounded by way too much heat to enjoy the weather. hoping for a seriously cooler break soon!

Beautiful. I think I'd like to come sit and read right there, in a big wicker chair with a thick cushion and a lap blanket...

You can send your rain to us. We need some. No colorful leaves this year. They're all brown and crispy.
